Saudi Arabia has huge temperature differences which have high requirements for the insulation of housing buildings. GETO provided an aluminum formwork system solution to the insulation problem for the Riyadh villa project. This aluminum formwork technology can help customers to overcome the difficulty of combining aluminum formwork systems with thermal insulation materials in the local construction industry.
The Riyadh project has a total of 160 villas with 3,701 three-story villa units. In addition, GETO has supplied over 40,000 square meters of building aluminium formwork for housing construction in Saudi Arabia. The on-site thermal insulation used polystyrene combined with aluminum mold. First, according to the module, install the polystyrene insulation board which is lightweight and can be installed at the construction site with simple operation. Then install the inner and outer aluminum formwork, the aluminum formwork ensures that the insulation board does not shift during concrete casting. No fungi or microorganisms can survive in polystyrene owing to no nutritional value. At the same time, polystyrene can resist water degradation and is moisture-resistant. Therefore, Polystyrene is extremely cost-effective compared with other types of insulation materials such as XEPS (extruded polystyrene) in construction work.
