GETO Supports Malaysia's Saribas Bridge Construction – Successful Pouring of Key Segment #1 with Balanced Cantilever Carriage

Saribas Bridge Project Reaches Key Milestone with Successful Casting of Main Girder Segment

Recently, the Saribas Bridge project in Malaysia, supported by GETO New Materials, reached a significant milestone. With meticulous planning and advanced technology of our project team, the 425-ton single-cell prestressed segmental box girder (Segment #1) has been successfully cast, transitioning the project into main girder construction.

Overcoming Technical Challenges with Balanced Cantilever Casting in Southeast Asia's Longest Main-Span Saribas Bridge Segment

As one of Southeast Asia's longest main-span bridges of its type, the Saribas Bridge project presented many technical challenges. For the critical Segment #1 construction, engineers employed balanced cantilever casting construction technology. Through precise load analysis and strict process control, they overcame major difficulties including ensuring structural safety and casting quality for the heavy girder in high-altitude cantilever conditions, while also solving challenges like asymmetric construction and aligning the diaphragm walls at Pier #0's balanced cantilever block.

GETO's Design and Safety Control Ensure Successful Casting of Segment #1, Proving Reliability of Cast-in-Place Cantilever Technology

This successful Segment #1 pouring not only demonstrated GETO's outstanding design and safety control capabilities but also proved the reliability of cast-in-place cantilever technology in complex environments. The achievement provides valuable experience for upcoming segment construction and establishes a solid foundation for meeting the project's overall schedule.

GETO Steel Formwork Ensures Quality and Efficiency for Saribas Bridge Project

Located in Sarawak, Malaysia, the Saribas Bridge spans 4,693 meters with a 2,390-meter main span. When completed, it will significantly enhance local transportation and stimulate regional economic growth. GETO applied its bridge formwork expertise to deliver a comprehensive solution for this project, supplying customized steel formwork products including cofferdams, bent caps, piers, T-beams, balanced cantilever carriage, apron panels, and precast barriers, backed by technical support and service guarantees. GETO's steel formwork systems, known for high reusability and cost-effectiveness, successfully met the project's dual demands for both quality and efficiency.

GETO Advances Segment Construction, Strengthening Quality and Expanding Global Presence

Currently, the project team continues making steady progress on subsequent segment construction. GETO will keep applying its technical advantages to ensure construction quality while providing premium products and solutions for infrastructure development. Furthermore, this project represents a major milestone for GETO as it expands further into overseas markets and broadens its global business operations.
